The St. Andrew North Police are reporting that nine illegal firearms have been seized in the division since the start of the year.

The latest seizure happened on Sunday during a snap raid in the Temple Hall area.

Police say at about 1: 55 PM, lawmen who were conducting the raid, seized a Smith and Wesson pistol containing six 9-millimetre rounds of ammunition.

No one was arrested for the seizure.
