SSL clients to receive possible update on return of monies by mid March
Clients of fraud hit Stocks and Securities Limited, may get an answer by mid-month, about the return of monies stolen from their accounts.
This as the report on the incident, from the temporary manger, is due for submission by March 17.
In the wake of reports about the fraud, the financial services commission took over management of SSL, and appointed business recovery expert Kenneth Tomlinson as temporary manager.
Members of the Jamaican diaspora, who reportedly invested at SSL, are worried about the return of their money.
The matter was raised by diaspora members, during ambassador Audrey Marks lets connect meeting, last evening, which had Bank of Jamaica Governor, Richard Byles, responding to queries.
Mr Byles is also chairman of the new FSC board.
He said after the temporary manager of SSL submits the report, the relevant authorities will decide on the next steps.
