SPICE donates over $5 mil with back-to-school treat
Dancehall star SPICE has pooled resources with corporate sponsors to give away over 5 million Jamaican dollars worth of back-to-school supplies to the nation’s children.
On the heels of her birthday on August 6, the Love and Hip Hop Atlanta star through her Grace Hamilton Women Empowerment Foundation has purchased 3.5 million dollars worth of book vouchers.
During a Music News interview, Spice says her decision to assist mothers has a deep-rooted meaning because growing up, she had to go to school without books.
The Back to school treat was held at the Hope Gardens Shell Band Stand in Kingston on Friday (Aug 5).
In 2018, Spice founded the Grace Hamilton Women Empowerment Foundation (GHWEF), a non-profit charity organization which aims to enrich women through education and entrepreneurship.
