Listen to report above

It’s just hours to the election day in the United States and there are mixed reactions from some Jamaican Americans about participation in the polls.

Many Jamaican Americans have already voted in a bid to escape the long lines likely tomorrow, Election Day.

In the U.S., voters have the opportunity to vote prior to Election Day, and many Jamaican Americans registered to vote have already done so.

U.S. voters abroad could cast their ballots electronically or via mail.

Those in the U.S. are given the opportunity to go to any of the assigned locations and vote.

One Jamaican man in Florida said many there just want life to get back to normal.

Meantime, another voter in New York said she isn’t interested but expressed concern about the immigration policy of Donald Trump.

There are still some who remain undecided, even as voting day fast approaches.
