Some diaspora members stage protest in New York today, over issues plaguing Jamaica, such as crime
Some members of the Jamaican Diaspora in the United States of America, and their supporters, braved the cold rain today, as they staged a protest in the vicinity of the consulate in New York.
The protesters expressed concern over what they deem to be issues relating to corruption, crime, poverty, as well as poor health and education in Jamaica.
One of the protest organisers, Dr. Rupert Francis said the group is also concerned about what it deems to be the arrogance of the Jamaican government.
Some other diaspora members have criticized those who protested today.
