The smoke nuisance from the Riverton disposal site in Kingston has been reduced significantly.

The National Solid Waste Management Authority (NSWMA), said there is a 90% reduction in smoke emanating from the dump, and efforts will continue into this evening to have it abated totally.

NSWMA Executive Director, Audley Gordon told IRIE FM news that the negative effect on communities has lessened.
