Smith Lane mourns after children killed in house fire; cops warn not to leave children home alone

Residents of Smith Lane in Downtown Kingston have been plunged into mourning after two young children perished in a house fire earlier today.

Police have identified the deceased as seven-year-old Keriecia Hutchinson and four-year-old Samson Cameron.

The children had reportedly been left alone at the house when the blaze erupted.

Speaking to IRIE FM news, Head of the Kingston Central Police, Superintendent Mishka Forbes, described the incident as tragic.

She is appealing to parents not to leave children without proper adult supervision.
