Shock and grief grip Wolmer’s Boys’ High after fourth-form student died at institution yesterday

Shock and grief have gripped the Wolmer’s Boys’ High School after a fourth-form student died at the institution yesterday.
It was reported that the student collapsed during class and was rushed to hospital, where he was later pronounced dead.
The incident has left students, teachers and members of the school community shaken, as details surrounding the student’s death remain unclear.
Authorities are expected to investigate the circumstances as the school community mourns the young student.
School Principal Dwight Pennycooke says the days ahead will be difficult for students, teachers and administrative staff, as the school grapples with the sudden loss.
In the meantime, the Wolmer’s joint board of management is urging the public to refrain from speculation or the circulation of unverified information concerning the circumstances of the pupil’s passing.
The board asks that the privacy of the student’s family and the school community be respected during this difficult time.
It also indicated that the school is providing support to affected students and members of staff as they seek to process this tragedy.
The joint board also extends its heartfelt condolences to his parents, relatives, friends, classmates, teachers and all whose lives he has touched.
