World Championships 200 metres gold medal winner Shericka Jackson was the top prize money-earner in the 2022 Wanda Diamond League series.
The fastest woman over the distance in the event this year earned the most prize money after competing 10 times in the 100 and 200 metre events for overall earnings of 99, 500 dollars.
The world championships 100 metres silver medallist earned $9500 more than nearest rival Alison Dos Santos of Brazil who pocketed 90 thousand competing 7 times in the men’s 400 metre hurdles.
The closest female prize money earner to Jackson was Femke Bol of the Netherlands who earned 80 thousand dollars after competing six times in the 400 metres and 400 metre hurdles.
World 100 metres champion Shelly-ann Fraser Pryce was the next best Jamaican earner …………….she walked away with 56 thousand dollars after contesting the 100 metres four times.
Shanieka rickettes was next at 35 thousand for her 5 times competing in the womens triple jump while double Olympic champion Elaine Thompson Herah who competed in the 100 and 200 metre events pocketed 26 thousand dollars.
She is followed by Commonwealth champion Janieve Russell who returned home with $25,750 dollars after racing 5 times in the womens 400 metre hurdles.
Olympic champion Hansle Parchment earned the most prize money among the Jamaican men $22,500, while Rasheed Broadbell came home with 22 thousand dollars.
