Shericka Jackson among 11 Jamaicans for Brussels Diamond League
A big delegation of 11 Jamaicans including several Budapest world Championships medalists will be at the Allianz Memorial Van Damme Diamond League meeting in Brussels on Friday.
200 metres world champion Shericka Jackson heads the group to contest the women’s 200 metres against Anthonique Strachan of the Bahamas, and Daryll Neita of Britain.
World champs relay silver medalist Candice Mcleod will line up against Sada Williams of Barbados and the American Shamier Little in the women’s 400 meters .
World Champs bronze medallist Rushell Clayton will take on Janieve Russell and Andrennette Knight in the women’s 400 meter hurdles which features the talented world record holder and Danish star Femke bol.
Double-Olympic sprint double gold medalist Elaine Thompson Herah will tackle Natasha Morrison and Sashalee Forbes in the women’s 100 meters.
National record holder Rusheen McDonald will line-up in the men’s 400 meters, while Shanieka Ricketts and Kimberly Willimas will contest the women’s triple jump event.
