Shelly Ann Fraser -Pryce to compete in Budapest Hungary, on August 12

10-time World Championship gold medalist Shelly Ann Fraser -Pryce will be heading to Budapest, Hungary, to compete in her swansong season, at the Gyulai István Memorial Track Meet, on August 12 .

Fraser -Pryce who will run competitively for the first time since the National Championships in June will come face to face with reigning National Champion Tina Clayton in a field which includes Africa’s fastest woman, Marie Josée Ta Lou-Smith, Tamari Davis and Maia McCoy.

Fraser -Pryce who has competed sparingly this year started her season at the Velocity Fest 17, winning the heats before heading to the World Athletics Relays.

She was part of the Jamaican women’s 4x100m relay team that finished second in the heats and went on to claim a bronze medal in the final, qualifying for the world championships later this year.

She then made a comeback to the Damond League circuit, competing in Doha, Qatar, where she narrowly missed out on the podium following her fourth-place finish.

Fraser-Pryce then competed at the Jamaican Championships and managed to secure her spot on the World Championships team following her third-place finish in the final, where she clocked 10.91 seconds.
