The world’s top defender and Sunshine Girl Shamera Sterling-Humphrey and shooter Shimona Jok, are the two Jamaican statistical leaders at the end of round four in the Suncorp Super-Netball League in Australia. 

Sterling-Humphrey who plies her trade for the defending champions Adelaide Thunderbirds leads the deflection stats with 19, while her team-mate and fellow Jamaican defender Latanya Wilson lies second with 18. 

In the meantime, Jok from the Melbourne Mavericks, tops the goal scoring category with 152, while another Sunshine Girl Romelda Aiken- George occupies third place with 112 goals. 

Aiken -George is also second in offensive rebound with 14, while another Jamaican Kadie-Ann Dehaney is third in the defensive rebound category with 8, with Sterling- Humprey fourth on 7. 

At the end of the round, the NSW Swifts leads the standings on 12 points, with the Thunderbirds the team of the Jamaican trio:  Romelda Aiken George, Sterling-Humphrey and Latanya Wilson second on 8 points, while the top three is completed by Sunshine Coast Lightning’s also on eight points. 

Meanwhile, Jamaica’s star shooter Jhaniele Fowler-Nembhard made a triumphant return to the court on the weekend, scoring a whopping 59-goals to lead the West Coast Fever to their first win of the season with a 67-57 triumph over the Melbourne Vixens.

However, Romelda Aiken-George scored 36 goals but the Adelaide Thunderbirds were on the losing end,  as the defending champions,  suffered their first home defeat in 11 matches, when they were beaten 65-57 by the NSW Swifts.
