Several Jamaicans received a minor scare this morning as another earthquake rocked the nation. 

The 4.5 magnitude quake which occurred at approximately 3:20 A.M., had a focal depth of 21 km. 

According to the earthquake unit, the epicentre was located approximately 20 km north of Port Antonio, Portland. 

The quake was reportedly felt in Portland, St. Thomas, St. Catherine and Kingston and St. Andrew. 

A resident of Long Bay, Portland told IRIE FM News that though he was frightened, the quake was not as strong as others experienced recently.

This morning’s tremor follows a 5.3 magnitude quake last Friday.
