Several charges laid against man and woman recently arrested in relation to $47.5M phishing scam at NCB
Several charges have been laid against 25-year-old Avinish Isaacs and 24-year-old Nekeisha Coote, who were recently arrested in relation to the $47.5 million phishing scam at the National Commercial Bank (NCB).
Isaacs, who is from Cassava Piece in Kingston was nabbed at his residence yesterday, while Coote, who is from Gregory Park, Portmore, St Catherine, was arrested at her home on Wednesday.
The arrests were made during early morning operations by agents from the Major Organised Crime and Anti-Corruption Agency (MOCA) and officers from the Jamaica Constabulary Force (JCF).
Director of Communications at MOCA, Major Basil Jarrett told IRIE FM News last evening that the two individuals were slapped with several charges under the Cyber Crimes Act.
