Chairman of the Police Federation Sergeant Arleen McBean is calling for the introduction of drone patrols by the Jamaica Constabulary Force.

She says this would provide aerial views to officers and enhance public safety.

Sergeant McBean notes the calls for body worn cameras, but indicates that drone patrols could be a more effective crime fighting tool.

She was speaking at the Police Federation Conference this week.
