Senior technocrats should prepare to be held accountable following tabling of job descriptions – DPP
Director of Public Prosecutions, (DPP), Paula Llewellyn, says senior technocrats, should prepare to be held accountable, in light of the recent tabling of job descriptions, for members of parliament and cabinet ministers.
Speaking at the Rotaract Club of Mandeville-President’s dinner and installation in Manchester at the weekend, the DPP said, the technocrats dictate the timing of procurement and decisions.
Noting that ministers are focused on policy, the DPP said, they cannot act unless the technocrats and civil servants provide the proper resources.
