Seminars kick start Dancehall week 2025

Dancehall Week 2025 is in full swing, with today’s seminar at the Ranny Williams Entertainment Centre set to tackle the crucial topic of Monetizing & Financial Support for Dancehall.

The event, which kicks off at 1 pm, promises to deliver valuable insights and expert advice to dancehall artists, producers, and industry stakeholders.

Additionally, tomorrow’s seminar is shaping up to be just as exciting, as it explores the complex relationship between dancehall and cannabis. Titled “Dancehall & Its Dependency on Cannabis”, the seminar will feature a panel of esteemed presenters, including Maurice Ellis, Vice President of the Ganja Growers and Producers Association of Jamaica (GGPAJ); Yaadcore, renowned music producer; Marcus Goffe, Attorney at Law; Theresa Kozak, Programs Coordinator at Cannabiziac; and Maxine Stowe, CEO of Rasta Ganja Global.

The seminar, scheduled to run from 1pm – 3pm at the Ranny Williams Entertainment Centre, will spark a thought-provoking discussion on the role of cannabis in dancehall culture.

Dancehall Week 2025, which runs from February 23 to March 4, is a celebration of Jamaica’s vibrant dancehall culture. With a packed schedule of events, including seminars, workshops, and live performances.
