Search continues to locate excavator operator reportedly trapped in marlpit in St. Elizabeth
An extensive search is underway to retrieve an excavator operator, following a freak accident at a marlpit in Exton near Junction in St. Elizabeth, yesterday (November 5).
Relatives identified the operator as Peter Morgan.
Reports are that at about 2pm, Morgan was operating the heavy duty equipment when a boulder hit the excavator, and he fell into a marlpit.
A search launched to retrieve Morgan yesterday, resumed this morning (November 6).
Firefighters, excavator operators, and Morgan’s relatives are a part of the search party.
Efforts to retrieve Morgan who is feared dead, have so far been unsuccessful.
The man’s father Carol Morgan, told Irie FM News, shortly before newstime, the search party was breaking a rock, in effort to locate his son.
