Sean Kingston is breathing a sigh of relief after posting a $100,000 bond following a short stint in detention.

The Beautiful Girls singer was released into home detention with GPS monitoring and had to surrender his passport. Kingston and his mother, Janice Turner, were accused of scamming businesses out of over $1 million in a fraud scheme involving jewellery, luxury cars, and high-end goods.

According to reports, Kingston’s celebrity friends rallied around him, pooling their money together to pay the bond. In a report Kingston’s attorney, Robert Rosenblatt, said he said Sean refused a deal from prosecutors, without his consent and now the judge will decide on a prison term based on existing guidelines.

Kingston and his mother were arrested in May 2024 after police raided his Florida mansion. They face up to 20 years in prison for each count they were convicted on. Rosenblatt believes it might be beneficial for Kingston to stay in jail to get some time served before his sentencing in July.
