Scott-Mottley claims gov’t does not want to properly include citizens in constitutional reform process
Opposition Senator Donna Scott-Mottley has claimed that the government does not want to properly include citizens in the process of transitioning Jamaica to a republic.
She made the statement in the Senate on Friday.
Senator Scott-Mottley criticized the government for seemingly rushing the legislation to make Jamaica a republic.
She said sufficient time is needed for submissions on this critical legislation.
She expressed concern that the government has no intention of including the public in the process.
