Persons who choose to take advantage of the National Water Commission (NWC’s) amnesty initiative are being encouraged to schedule appointments ahead of their visits to the Commission’s offices to ensure smooth engagements.

The three-month amnesty which started on January 2 is for customers who have been disconnected for debts to the NWC for two years or more.

It also includes pensioners or those who were assessed as being in need based on the Programme of Advancement Through Health and Education (PATH) beneficiary identification standards.

Water Minister, Matthew Samuda says persons with disabilities should also call ahead since a special provision is being established under the amnesty programme to support customers within this group.
