Another call is being made for the roadway leading to the Sheffield Primary School in Westmoreland to be repaired.

Savanna-La-Mar Mayor, Bertel Moore laments that the already deteriorated roadway has been further impacted by heavy rains.

According to Mayor Moore, the poor condition of the thoroughfare has played a factor in the decreasing number of students enrolled at the school.

He points to the unwillingness of taxi operators to travel on the roadway leading to the school.

The Mayor is urging the Local Government Ministry to assist in addressing this issue.
