Samuda urges switch to renewable energy to facilitate increased access to potable water
Minister with responsibility for Water, Matthew Samuda, is urging a switch to renewable energy to ensure increased access to potable water globally.
Mr. Samuda says for countries to tackle development challenges with the commodity, there must be consideration of the link between water, energy, and food.
Speaking at the United Nations water conference, Samuda called for nations to honour commitments made in the Paris agreement and the global bio-diversity frame work.
He also noted the importance of irrigation on farms.
