Samuda pledges to fix water, roads and a myriad of other issues in N.E St. Ann

Residents of North Eastern St. Ann are being promised that issues relating to water, roads, and housing, will be fixed.

At the constituency office in St. Ann’s Bay yesterday, Aspiring Member of Parliament Matthew Samuda gave the assurance while addressing party supporters.

Mr. Samuda was nominated yesterday, to contest the September 30 by-election in the constituency.

He will be challenged by a member of the United Independents Congress and an independent candidate.

Samuda, who has been working in the constituency for some months now, noted that his efforts are also in honour of former MP the late Shahine Robinson.

He pointed out that the Exchange water project, initiated by Robinson years ago, is now ready for implementation.

He said some roadways will be rehabilitated, before Christmas.

Regarding housing, Mr. Samuda said residents of several communities will soon get their land titles.

He added that plans are in place to renovate public beaches in the constituency.
