Samantha J is taking a walk down the vulnerable side.

The dancehall artiste and “Tight skirt” hitmaker has now released a soulful ballad dubbed “Love me for me.”

With lyrics such as “love me for real, when I’m tearing ma heart out, hand it to you babe, can’t you see the scars now “ and “I’ve been giving all the life that’s in me to you, why won’t you just hold me”, the song tugs at the heartstrings.

Speaking with IRIE FM today Samantha said the song was inspired by her own personal experience.
