Rural School Bus with students and Transport Minister Daryl Vaz left HWT Transport Centre without issue this morning
Several students got a free ride to school this morning, following the rollout of vehicles under the National Rural School Bus Programme.
60 buses were deployed along 55 routes across the island.
At the Half-Way-Tree Transport Centre, several students boarded the buses, the first of which started running as early as 5:50 AM.
Some parents, who came to see their children off to school, expressed gratitude for the initiative.
Another 40 buses are expected to be rolled out by November.
