“Rubbish!” Portmore citizens will not be adversely affected by Portmore being 15th parish, says Terrelonge
Member of Parliament for East Central St. Catherine Alando Terrelonge has again labelled as propaganda the Opposition People’s National Party’s arguments against the move to transition Portmore to parish status.
Mr. Terrelonge was speaking at a Jamaica Labour Party Area Council one meeting in West Rural St. Andrew last night.
He sought to assure that Portmore citizens will not be adversely affected by Portmore becoming the 15th parish.
Mr. Terrelonge also pointed out that Jamaicans cannot allow the country’s growth and development to be stifled due to efforts at political power.
He maintained that the wealth of Portmore residents will be increased if the parish status is granted.
