Roll out of Rural School Bus Programme described as successful, despite some issues
Today’s roll out of the Rural School Bus Programme has been described as successful, despite some issues, including a minor accident in St. Ann.
Transport Minister, Daryl Vaz gave the update to IRIE FM News this afternoon.
He also clarified earlier statements that 60 buses were deployed across the island.
The Minister said 53 buses were rolled out, due to some challenges in St. Elizabeth, St. Catherine, St. Thomas and St. Andrew.
Despite the issues, the Minister gave the roll out a passing grade.
40 more buses will be deployed between September and November.
