Eight of Jamaica’s finest athletes will showcase their talents at the Wanda Diamond League’s highly anticipated Scandinavian double-bill, with Olympic Champion Roje Stona and Olympic silver medalist Shanieka Ricketts headlining the Jamaican contingent.

Ricketts, who remains unbeaten on the circuit this year, is aiming to secure her third consecutive victory when she competes in the women’s triple jump at the Bislett Games in Oslo on Thursday.

The Oslo meet will also feature Jordan Scott in the men’s discus, Shiann Salmon in the women’s 400 metres hurdles, and Ackelia Smith, who will join Ricketts in the women’s triple jump, adding further strength to the Jamaican lineup.

Meanwhile, Roje Stona will take centre stage at the Stockholm meet on Sunday, where he will compete in the men’s discus event. Stona will be joined by two-time world champion Danielle Williams, who is set to run in the women’s 100 metres hurdles alongside rising star Ackera Nugent. Ackelia Smith will switch events for Stockholm, competing in the women’s long jump.
