Robert Fowler sentenced to life imprisonment for the murder of Khanice Jackson
Fifty-one-year-old mechanic Robert Fowler has been sentenced to life imprisonment for the murder of 20-year-old Accounting Clerk, Khanice Jackson.
The sentence was handed down today by Justice Leighton Pusey.
Fowler who is from Portmore in St. Catherine will serve 22 years and 11 months, before being eligible for parole.
It’s reported that Jackson of Independence City in Portmore was strangled on March 24, 2021.
Her body was found in a decomposing state, in an open lot near the Portmore Fishing Village two days later.
Further reports are that Fowler who regularly gave Jackson a lift to work had lured her to his home under the pretext that he had left one of his tools there.
While at Fowler’s house an argument reportedly developed between the 2, and Fowler allegedly used a piece of rope to strangle Jackson.
He then disposed of her body.
Investigations by the police led to the recovery of Jackson’s handbag and bank cards at Fowler’s house.
Fowler had pleaded guilty to the murder in the Home Circuit Court.
