The National Road Safety Council is urging persons to be extra vigilant on the nation’s roads as they venture out to welcome the new year.

Acknowledging that several entertainment events are slated for tonight, Vice Chairman of the Council Dr. Lucien Jones says extra care is necessary when navigating busy thoroughfares.

He is expressing hope that the 2024 road death toll will remain at 364, which is 61 fewer than the 425 deaths recorded in 2023.
