Road Safety Council awaits data to assess effects of new Road Safety Act on motorists’ compliance with road safety rules
The National Road Safety Council (NRSC) is awaiting data to assess the effects of the new Road Safety Act on motorists’ compliance with the road safety rules.
The road safety regulations came into effect on February 1, this year.
Vice-Chairman of the NRSC, Dr Lucien Jones says while he remains cautiously optimistic that this year’s road death figures will not surpass last year’s, an assessment of the impact of the new regulations must be conducted.
He awaits the data to do so.
