Residents stage road blocks across Trelawny over bad roads
Residents in Trelawny mounted road blocks on Wednesday morning as they protested against bad road conditions.
It’s reported that residents used downed trees, old refrigerators and other debris to block the Martha Brae to Bounty Hall main road from about 5 am.
Deputy Superintendent Winston Milton said the police have cleared the Good Hope main road and are now in the process of clearing the other blocked roadways.
It’s reported that classes at several schools in the parish have been impacted by the protests.
