Residents of communities along northern coast of St. Ann from Drax Hall to Llandovery now have access to additional 2M gallons of water daily

Residents of communities along the northern coast of St. Ann, from Drax Hall to Llandovery, now have access to an additional 2 million gallons of water, daily.

The Drax Hall to Llandovery water extension project was officially commissioned into service, yesterday.

The project, which cost Government about $370 million, was completed within 6 months, and carried out by the National Water Commission in collaboration with the Rural Water Supply Limited.

Speaking at the commissioning ceremony, Water Minister Matthew Samuda, says the project has revolutionized the area.

Meantime, NWC Regional Manager Richard Williams said the pipeline project facilitates access to more water by residents, tourism interests, and business operators.
