Residents block Flanker main road following fatal shooting of man by the police
The Flanker Main Road in St. James which was blocked by residents protesting the fatal shooting of a man at a polling station in the community on Monday, has been cleared.
Today, some residents used debris which they set on fire to mount a roadblock along the main road.
The residents are upset about the fatal shooting of Peter Johnson by members of the security forces, near the Flanker Primary School which was being used as a polling station in the Local Government Election.
A police source said to register their anger, the residents blocked the roadway.
This resulted in it being reduced to single lane traffic.
Lawmen were deployed to the area and the roadway was reportedly cleared.
