Jamaica’s Hurricane Beryl recovery effort has received additional support in the form of a JMD$15 million donation from the Republic of Korea.

The donation was handed over during a ceremony at the Korean Embassy in Kingston this morning.

State Minister in the Foreign Affairs Ministry, Alando Terrelonge collected the donation on behalf of the country.

He noted that the nation is gratified by the demonstration of solidarity during what has been a challenging period for Jamaica.

Mr. Terrelonge added that this latest offer from the Government of Korea will enhance the country’s prospects for timely and effective recovery.
