Renowned comedian Dale Elliott Jr is advising particularly up and coming comedians to create their own opportunities and warning that being too humble can prove to be an impediment to success in the profession.

IRIE FM caught up with the comedian, easily one of the most recognizable Jamaican names in comedy internationally today, as he prepares to undertake a world tour.

Known for often going viral with his hilarious skits and comments, he was asked when he truly felt he had made it as a comedian. He says it was only last year when he sold out a London theatre four times, he truly realized he had something special.

The world tour comes on the heels of his self-produced sold-out tour last year dubbed ‘No Hard Feelings’ where he performed over forty shows across the USA, UK and Canada.

Speaking on this world tour produced by Live Nation, which begins in June, Dale who has been a comedian for a decade and a standup comedian for two years, says this will be on a much larger scale. He also explained why the tour is dubbed “Son of an Immigrant”.

Tickets for the world tour are available at the website https://www.daleelliottjr.com.
