Renovation works on the Yallahs Market in St. Thomas should be done by the end of this year.

Local Government Minister Desmond Mckenzie gave the update during a tour of the market, yesterday.

This follow up tour, came 2 weeks after another, at which time, the minister had issued directives and provided funds for the market to be cleaned up, to accommodate vendors.

Yesterday, Mr. Mckenzie did an assessment of the progress of clean up activities.

The minister told vendors that throughout the period of registration and prior to the full restoration, which will be completed by December, they will not be required to pay any fees.
