REACH programme launched to respond to the needs of citizens impacted by Hurricane Beryl
The government has established the Relief Emergency Assistance and Community Help (REACH) programme to respond to the needs of citizens affected by Hurricane Beryl.
Prime Minister Andrew Holness told parliament yesterday, that the programme is intended to aid with repairs, to damaged homes, among other things.
He said the government is focused on comprehensive relief efforts designed to provide immediate assistance and lay the groundwork for long-term recovery and resilience.
Mr. Holness noted that under the REACH programme, the Labour Ministry is distributing food and care packages to affected families.
He added that special attention is being given, to the distribution of medication and dengue mitigation activities, to prevent an outbreak of the disease.
