Rehabilitative work at Munro College 70-80% complete after Hurricane Beryl
Rehabilitative work at Munro College in St. Elizabeth following Hurricane Beryl is approximately 70 to 80% complete.
The school’s principal, Dr. Mark Smith, gave the update to IRIE FM News.
The 168-year-old institution racked up an estimated $310 million repair bill, after the Category 4 hurricane left extensive damage on July 3.
31 of the 35 buildings at the school were impacted.
Dr. Smith said Munro College continues to partner with its donors to have the necessary works completed.
Classes continue at the institution amid the rehabilitative works.
