Reggae singer Junior Byles has died.

Byles died at hospital yesterday.

He was seventy seven years old.

In expressing condolences to his loved ones and colleagues, Culture and Entertainment Minister Olivia Grange described Byles as one of Jamaica’s great roots-reggae artistes.

She said his death has left a huge void in the industry.

The minister noted that she will be assisting with funeral arrangements for Byles.
