Written byDwight Fraser
The iconic Reggae Marathon, Half Marathon, 10K and 5K will be back in the nation’s capital this year to mark the 26th staging of the event.
This follows the successful hosting of the event last year in Kingston, where more than 1,700 registered runners, including participants from the USA, Canada, France, the United Kingdom, Japan, Russia, Estonia and Uzbekistan, among other destinations, were in action.
The Reggae Marathon, which has attracted runners from more than 25 countries, will again take participants through some of Kingston’s most recognisable landmarks and spaces, including the National Gallery, Supreme Court, Water Lane Artwalk and the Kingston Waterfront.
The Reggae Marathon, on December 6, will also kick off the eight-day celebration of Jamaican creativity and culture, which runs from December 6 to 13 at the Kingston International Festival.
Registration for the 26th Reggae Marathon, Half Marathon, 10K and 5K is currently open.
