Reggae Girls slam St Vincent 7-nil in opening game of Concacaf Under 20 Women’s Championship qualifiers
A hatrick from Alyssa Stephenson powered the under 20 Reggae girls to a massive 7-nil win over Caribbean rivals St. vincent and the Grenadines , to open their Concacaf Under 20 Women’s Championship qualifiers on a wining note on Thursday.
In the one-sided group D’ match, Stephenson opened the scoring in the 15th minute, before she struck again in first half added time, and completed her hat-rick on the hour mark.
Avery johnson in the 25th, Maya Raghunandanan in the 28th minute, captain Jaileah Cox Mcpherson in the 42nd, and Andrene Smith in minute 45 also got on the scoresheet for the Reggae Girls, who climbed to the top of the standings on three points.
In the second game of the group ‘D double-header Nicaragua moved to second spot after shutting out St Kitts and Nevis 8-nil .
In another game, Costa Rica blanked Aruba 4-nil to assume leadership of group F.
Reggae Girls will be back in action on Saturday when they tackle St Kitts and Nevis.
