Reggae Girls could play two friendly matches in June
Jamaica’s reggae girls could play two friendly internationals at home in June, in what should be their final push in the build for their second consecutive appearance at the Fifa Women’s World Cup which is to be staged in Australia and New Zealand.
The Jamaicans who featured in the Matilda’s Cup in Australia, where they lost all three games against the Czech republic, Spain and the host nation, enjoyed a 2-nil win over English FA Championship outfit Sheffield United at the King Power Stadium on April 10.
President of the Jamaica Football Federation Michael Ricketts in breaking the news, says his organization is also putting a camp in place, to help keep the reggae girls in competitive shape.
