Reggae Boyz up to 55 in latest FIFA Coca Cola World rankings
Jamaica’s Reggae Boyz have moved up to number 55 in the world according to the latest FIFA Coca Cola World rankings released today.
They climbed one place from 56 last month to be the number one ranked Caribbean team and 5th in Concacaf……trailing the USA ranked at number 11 in the world and Mexico at number 12.
Panama moves up to 44 on the rankings and 3rd in Concacaf exchanging places with Canada who slips to 4th in Concacaf at number 45 in the world and Costa Rica who remains ranked at number 46.
In the meantime there are no changes in the top three……………….number one rank Argentina maintain a healthy lead of 8.18 points over their closest challengers, France.
France have cemented their grip on second place, extending the gap which now stands at 40.91 points between themselves and third place Brazil, who have England in 4th moving closer, with Belgium rounding out the top five.
A resurgent Portugal moves up two places to 6th with the Netherlands ranked number 7 while Spain up two places is at number 8, italy at 9 and Croatia down four places sits at number ten.
The sole Conmebol country never to have reached the FIFA World Cup, Venezuela is back in the top 50 at 49th having jumped 4 places .
