Reggae Boyz set sights on Trinidad clash in World Cup Qualifier

Jamaica’s Reggae Boyz will be taking nothing for granted when they face Caribbean rivals Trinidad and Tobago in a crucial Concacaf final-round World Cup qualifier at the National Stadium on Tuesday.

The Jamaicans head into the contest full of confidence, having opened their Group ‘B’ campaign with a commanding 4-0 victory over Bermuda on Friday. Goals from Damion Lowe, Renaldo Cephas, Kasey Palmer, and Shamar Nicholson sealed the win and ensured the Reggae Boyz sit at the top of the standings with maximum three points.

Trinidad, meanwhile, are looking to get their campaign up and running after playing to a goalless draw against Curaçao in their opening fixture. Tomorrow’s showdown will mark the fifth World Cup qualifying meeting between the two nations. History favors Jamaica, as the Reggae Boyz remain unbeaten against the Soca Warriors in their previous encounters.
