Reggae Boyz set for game two showdown against Trinidad and Tobago
Jamaica’s national senior men’s football team, the Reggae Boyz, will face off against regional rivals Trinidad and Tobago in the second game of their two-match friendly series at the Anthony Spalding Sports Complex tonight. Kick-off is set for 8:00 p.m.
The Reggae Boyz are aiming to complete a clean 2-0 sweep after Sue-Lae McCalla’s late heroics secured a narrow 1-0 victory in the series opener at the Montego Bay Sports Complex on Thursday. McCalla’s decisive 80th-minute strike not only sealed the win but also marked Jamaica’s first home victory against the Soca Warriors since 2014.
Reggae Boyz head coach Steve McLaren expressed his desire for another strong performance and a victory from his team. “We’re looking to build momentum and consistency,” McLaren stated. “The boys showed good character in Montego Bay, and I’d like to see them carry that same energy into tonight’s match.”
The team has made a roster adjustment ahead of the fixture, with Tivoli Gardens’ Nickalia Fuller being drafted in to replace Ranaldo Biggs of Racing United, who is sidelined due to a groin injury.
