Reggae Boyz ready for crucial World Cup qualifier after Unity Cup boost
Jamaica’s national senior men’s football team, the Reggae Boyz, are fired up following their recent appearance in the Unity Cup finals against Nigeria. Energized by that competitive outing, the squad will leave the island on Thursday as they prepare for their upcoming Concacaf World Cup qualifier against the British Virgin Islands on Saturday.
The team held a training session earlier today at the Stadium East facility to fine-tune their preparations and will conduct another session tomorrow before departing on a chartered flight.
This campaign features a refreshed lineup, highlighted by newcomer Tyreece Campbell, who plays for English Championship side Charlton Athletic and made his international debut last week during the Afro-Caribbean Unity Cup in London.
Captain Andre Blake returns to lead the team after missing the Unity Cup, along with key players Jahmali Waite, Joel Latibeaudiere, Damion Lowe, Romario Williams, Demarai Grey, and Leon Bailey.
The full squad includes:
- Richard King
- Shaquan Davis
- Dexter Lembikisa
- Amari Bell
- Greg Leigh
- Mason Holgate
- Kyle Ming
- Isaac Hayden
- Kasey Palmer
- Jon Russell
- Ravel Morrison
- Dwayne Atkinson

Following their clash with the British Virgin Islands, the Reggae Boyz will return home on Sunday to prepare for a Tuesday encounter against Guatemala at the National Stadium.
