Jamaica’s Reggae Boyz were forced to settle for a 1–1 draw with Trinidad and Tobago in their penultimate Group B Concacaf World Cup Qualifier at the Hasely Crawford Stadium last evening.

The result mathematically eliminated the Trinidadians from contention, leaving Jamaica and Curacao to fight for the group’s lone automatic qualifying spot to the 2026 FIFA World Cup.

After a cagey first half, Renaldo Cephas broke the deadlock in the 53rd minute, finishing clinically to give Jamaica a 1–0 lead. The Reggae Boys appeared in control for much of the second half, but with five minutes left in regulation, Kevin Molina capitalized on a defensive lapse to steer home the equalizer for Trinidad and Tobago.

Despite the late setback, Jamaica remain firmly in the hunt for qualification. They now turn their attention to next Tuesday’s decisive top-of-the-table clash against Curacao at the National Stadium.

Curacao currently lead Group B with 11 points, one ahead of the Reggae Boyz on 10, after cruising to a dominant 7–0 victory over a winless Bermuda side.

Elsewhere in Concacaf action:
In Group A, Suriname surged to the top of the table after hammering El Salvador 4–0, while Panama climbed into second with a 3–2 win over Guatemala.

In Group C, Haiti edged Costa Rica 1–0, and Honduras remained atop the standings despite falling 2–0 to Nicaragua.
