REACH road works in St. Ann are 70% complete
Some 70% of roadways targeted in St. Ann under the government’s Relief Emergency Assistance and Community Help (REACH) programme have received attention.
These include sections of the North Coast Highway, between Ocho Rios and Discovery Bay, the main road from Bamboo to Brown’s Town, and that from Ocho Rios to Hopewell.
The roads were impacted by heavy rains between July and December last year.
Meanwhile, Works Minister Robert Morgan says steady progress is being made in all 14 parishes with targeted roads being between 10% and 50% complete.
He noted that the REACH programme is expected to be completed by the end of February.
